Capaia Sauvignon Blanc 2011

Generosity is the defining word for the 2011 Capaia Sauvignon Blanc.

The slow, cool start of summer 2011 meant small, but flavour intense bunches of Sauvignon Blanc grapes. Adding to the fruit complexity of this wine is the location of these grapes at an altitude of 170 – 270 m, facing in a 360° direction. Grapes were handpicked at 22° balling, where after a 6 – 12 hours skin contact period was allowed for maximum extraction of the flavours. Different selected yeast cultures for fermentation further enhance the complexity of the wine.

Its aromatics encapsulate a broad spectrum of varietal flavours; fruit salad fragrances of guava, pineapple and apricot. These fruity flavours repeat on the palate, beautifully complemented by crisp natural acidity that leaves a long, fresh and intense finish.
