Capaia Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot 2013
Capaia was blessed with a cool, slow ripening period during the summer season of 2013. We experienced no heat waves or hot winds during our harvest, which helped to create fruits that slowly ripened and could reach their full potential before being hand-picked.
Nature showed it’s kindness by allowing us to craft a wine of exceptional quality, showing rich, ripe black berries. Balanced with enough oak coming from 2nd and 3rd fill French barrels, we believe our Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot 2013 is ripe and rather big for a second label wine.
This wine shows enough savoury tannins to make it serious, yet it is a perfect food partner.
